Starting at the coffee shop...
A+P booked my First Moments Package, and we decided to go with a coffee shop date to kick off the maternity session. I proposed the idea of using Heirloom Market in historic Wethersfield and the two loved the idea as they had visited the shop before and loved it. I got there a little early to scope out the best spot and just had to start with using this little corner. The natural light coming through the garage doors with the twinkle lights in the back made the prettiest setting for them to sip at their drinks.
I started off the session by having them actually drink their drinks, talk to one another, make each other laugh, and the two naturally fell into a rhythm where I didn't have to say much to instruct them as they came up with ideas and kept the session alive. We then moved to use the greenhouse section of the coffee shop and I knew I wanted to get some really arftl, hazy images with all the sun coming in there.
For our last stop at the coffee shop, we headed outside to take some photos with some more dreamy twinkle lights, the pumpkins, and the gazebo. Straight Gilmore Girls Vibes! And the way the sun was coming around the corner of the building... too good to be true.
Then we made our way to a nearby field...
As if this beautiful session didn't already have enough variety, my story telling session allowed for them to utilize two nearby locations and so we got to capture so many different photos for their session! And their sweet pup got to be a part of some too. The wind was blowing like crazy, but it just added to the entire vibe of the session. It was cold out but I'd say these beautiful photos were worth it!!
